RESPONSE:Youth Development & Empowerment: The National Youth Council (NYC): A bane or blessing?

Since Visionaires Foundation was mentioned to be an active youth organization surviving the challenges of supporting the course of Youth program, I can't hide my excitement to this act of bravery article. In my own words, this is long over due, thanks comrade. If there is any nation i know off for now that has no love, vision and purpose for the youth i will say Ghana. Sometimes am tempted to say, this is not the Ghana Osagyefo and co fought for. Whaaaaat, you will come up with a formidable idea to advance the course of youth development and wanting to be a concern and law abiding citizen and youth.

You will decide to go through the appropriate structures to get to you goal, but it will amaze you how this same institution will truncate and stampede your efforts. What is more annoying is when some personalities with stolen and created for accolades will rise up to rubbish your efforts and call you names. Like USELESS, GOATS, TUC, FOOTSOLDIERS AND JOKERS. hmmmm when u look at the person in the face and compare  his life achievement to your successes you are only left to cry, like I remember what the NYSF went through and the abuse we suffered  in Kumasi during the celebration of the African youth day.

My heart actually bleeds anytime I hear certain government institution establish for youth programs and heads assigned to this institution, I really feel like throwing up. Lies and propaganda be what. hmmmmmmmm Arise Ghana youth for our country, the nation demands our devotion. ooooh Michael Jackson said, " all I wanna say is that, they don’t really care about us". Here is a country with great youthful minds and energy. It is only needed in time of tribal conflict and political rallies, congresses, stealing ballot boxes and in sighting them even to the point of death. So i ask, leaders today are quick to Call, Osagyefo, J B Danquah etc, can they also be remembered and be attributed to the development of this nation. I doubt, NYC, hahahahahhahah, is it not on the same compound of Azumah Nelson sports complex which has been neglected for wild animals to take over. Tv 3 thanks for that story, but I was not amazed because all is summed up by this article am commenting on.

We have Youth ministry as it is now I think I can call it only sports and even that, Soccer biased, which is not enough BLACK STARS biased. What talent are we unearthing from the youth ministry? Even if Christ is assigned to Ghana He will fail because of the team and leaders he might have to work with. Check the kwaku ananse display that was made at the policy fair by NYC.
I am not a prophet of doom; it hurts to know that little is done for the youth of this nation. This is  wake up  call. God bless our home land GHANA.
